Les acheteurs novices quant \u00e0 eux sont principalement pouss\u00e9s par le d\u00e9sir d\u2019\u00e9viter les transports en commun (32%) ou le covoiturage (21%), ou par le fait de commencer un nouvel emploi ou de changer d\u2019emploi (21%). Il s\u2019agit g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement de c\u00e9libataires ou de jeunes couples sans enfants. Ces facteurs jouent un r\u00f4le important dans leurs pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences. Si la majorit\u00e9 des acheteurs exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s recherchent un VUS (45%), les acheteurs novices ont plut\u00f4t le regard tourn\u00e9 vers les berlines (38%), les VUS arrivant en deuxi\u00e8me position (34%) dans leurs pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences. Un faible pourcentage des magasineurs des deux cat\u00e9gories s\u2019int\u00e9resse aux v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques (V\u00c9), soit 9% pour les acheteurs novices et 6% pour les acheteurs exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s. Les deux groupes d\u2019acheteurs sont aussi susceptibles l\u2019un que l\u2019autre de se rendre chez un commer\u00e7ant automobile et de faire l\u2019essai d\u2019un v\u00e9hicule. Toutefois, seul un acheteur novice sur dix se rend chez un commer\u00e7ant automobile sans faire d\u2019essai, contre 23% des acheteurs exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s. Les deux cohortes sont presque \u00e0 \u00e9galit\u00e9 en ce qui concerne l\u2019importance de la marque (43%), la disponibilit\u00e9 (40%) et la cote de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 (34%). Toutefois, les acheteurs novices sont beaucoup moins pr\u00e9occup\u00e9s par le confort du v\u00e9hicule (31%), son style (28%) ou les fonctionnalit\u00e9s incluses ou optionnelles (19%).
